Carrera S Cabrio (992) in Rome

The Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabrio (992) is available to rent in Rome as a 2025 convertible with 480 hp. Its seat count is four, so up to four occupants are accommodated, which is worth knowing before you plan a longer day out of the city.

Rome's ZTL zones shape how any car is used in the historic centre. Tridente, Trastevere and the Centro Storico are watched by strict ZTL cameras, so a hire car is best planned around a hotel outside the zone or an airport terminal at Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA), not around the Colosseum or the narrow streets nearby. Underground parking near Termini and the Vatican is the practical option, as street parking in the centro is close to impossible.

For an open-top day, the Castelli Romani are the natural anchor: the SS218 toward Frascati, Marino and Castel Gandolfo covers 20 to 30 km and makes an easy half-day from EUR or Via Veneto. April to June suits these runs well, with mild weather, while November to March can bring rain to coastal outings. Anyone planning the Amalfi Coast should be realistic: it is 250+ km from Rome, and the SS163 is extremely congested in July and August.
